Tall, thin lips, cute eyes and nose and with light complexion. An idea of meeting a person with this personality makes my heart beats faster. It does not only mean that I want them for me but it brings to me unexplainable excitement. I want to know them because I want to discover something new. I want to meet new friends with different culture for it brings to me unique experience.
One day, my dream came true. Our Functional Literacy instructor Mr. Jayson Patalinghug told us that we will meet some of his Korean students. Upon hearing those news, I was not able to control myself from shouting brought about by extreme excitement and happiness. I kept wearing my smile while my mind was wandering somewhere else. I imagined the possible scenario.
I and him only sitting on a bench, chatting and talking. He would then ask me, "Do you have boyfriend? ", and I gave a quick reply, "Fortunately, I don't have. " He asked something more but Lo! Annabelle tapped my shoulder." Mitch, do you understand what to do? I was daydreaming again.I don't know what to do because my mind was really out from my head, so I answered, "huh, I don't know". I smiled and told myself, "Mitch ,wake up!" and I listened to the instructions.

I really wanted that my first foreign interface to be perfectly perfect. I did some simple preparations. I reviewed some Korean cultures to avoid cultural conflicts. I also prepared questions so that I won't be tongue tied when I'm with him already.
Sir Jayson introduced to us his Korean students. I met Choi Sang Jun , a 19 year old cute guy. He came here in Cebu to study English. When I met his eyes, my hands were so cold and I was sweating. I remembered what I've read about Koreans so, I made a bow to him. I felt nervous and showed some timidity but he smiled to me and I gained back my confidence. We sat in a plant circle and he started asking me questions. I thought , I would interview him but we did the reverse. He prepared questions for me. I sensed that he was ashamed to me and so did I. To ease that awkward feeling , I smiled to him again and said,"I'm ready."
He started asking my name, my course, why I chose that course and some more personal information. I answered him fluently in plain English and I observed that he never wrote anything. Instead , he smiled and said, "Oooh, so hard English ". I felt sorry because I never considered the fact that he had just started studying English. I scolded myself and to overcome , I gave answers again and I spelled it out this time. It was really like I was teaching a preschooler. I enjoyed his company because June (his English name) is a fast learner. After answering his prepared questions, we talked different things and we felt comfortable to each other now. I threw a joke to him by asking if I am beautiful , he smiled and said," ah, yes, so beautiful." It was just a joke but it made me smile. He spelled out the word beautiful but he found it hard and I caught him writing it in Korean symbols. I spelled the word again and he wrote it correctly this time. He smiled again while saying sorry with a cute gesture. He gave me his Facebook account because he wanted me to be his Facebook friend and I gave mine too. After the interview session, he introduced me after the class. He used the information gathered and he was quite good. When everyone was finished introducing their new friends, flashes blinked here and there. I never forgot how June acted. He got his camera and said, "looking, looking ", and he took us picture. I felt it that he really wanted us to be his friend because he joined us many times. The session had ended and he kept on saying "Thank you" to us.
And now, I am quite excited for our second interface and it is his birthday January 21. I am now thinking what present I might give. I want to know him more because he is cute, cool and interesting guy. I wish not only 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th interface but an unlimited interface.
